Vidaila onions (or other sweet onion)
beef bouillon
warm water
butter
Cut ends off onions & peel. Scoop out a well in the top of each onion, reserving top as a lid.
For each onion, add 1/2 teaspoon of beef bouillon, that has been mixed with a little warm water, so that the bouillon softens. Put bouillon in the onion well and top with a pat of butter. Place onion top back on onion. Cover with waxed paper or saran wrap and microwave onions 7-9 minutes.
(Cook's note: The is one of Dale's absolute favorite recipes, so I make it often as a quick side dish. It can also be wrapped in foil and grilled.)
