1-8 oz pkg cream cheese (Not low fat!)
1 stick of unsalted butter (Real butter only!)
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1 onion, minced or grated fine
4 T mayonnaise (Not low fat!)
1-2 bags of small salad shrimp, cooked and chopped
Bland unseasoned Japanese rice crackers
Mix cheese & butter until smooth. Add remaining ingredients (except crackers) and mix well.
Serve on bland rice crackers. (You can usually find them in the Asian section of the grocery store.)
(Cook's Note: Low fat mayo, butter or mayo will cause this dip to end up runny so don't even think about using it! Another of my favorite family recipes from the 70's!)
