For the Dressing:
1 c mayo
1/4 c sugar
3 T apple cider vinegar
1/2 c chopped walnuts, pecans or almonds
For the salad:
5 c raw broccoli, chopped
6 pieces of bacon, cooked and crumbled
1/2 c sweet onion, chopped
1-2 c shredded carrots
shredded cheddar cheese
chopped raw cauliflower & raisins, optional
Mix dressing & refrigerate. When ready to serve, combine dressing with salad ingredients.
(Cook's Note: I'm from NC, so our choice of nuts was always pecans. Maybe it had something to do with the 2 pecan trees in my grandparent's yard! I also prefer this salad with cauliflower & raisins!)
