1 box (dry) chocolate cake mix
1 can evaporated milk
1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
1/4 c. chopped walnuts (almonds or pecans also ok)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Coat 13x9 inch pan with Pam.
Mix cake mix with milk. Spread into prepared pan.
Pour pie filling evenly over cake batter. Do NOT stir.
Bake for 30 minutes.
Sprinkle cake with chopped nuts and bake 20 minutes longer.
(Cook's note: I've had this recipe for years. Now they call them dump cakes!)
