4 c water
4 c sugar
1 c Everclear (190 proof, if you can find it!)
2T pure peppermint extract
1.5 t green food coloring (optional)
Combine water & sugar in a saucepan and heat until the sugar dissolves. Cool completely.
Once cool, add alcohol & peppermint. Add food color if desired.
(Cook's note: Makes 5-6 cups. Enjoy!)
