1 pack of string cheese, unwrapped
12 slices of deli ham or turkey
12 manicotti shells, uncooked
1 jar (26 oz) pasta sauce
3/4 c water
pinch of basil, thyme & pepper
1/2 c (2 oz) shredded Parmesan cheese (or Mozzarella)
1. Roll lunch meat around each piece of string cheese. Slide into pasta shells.
2. Combine pasta sauce, water & seasoning.
3. Spread 3/4 c. of sauce mixture in the bottom of a 13x9 casserole dish. Top with stuffed pasta shells. Spread remaining sauce over shells.
4. Cover with foil and bake 350 degrees for 50 minutes. Remove foil and top with shredded Parmesan.
(Cook’s note: I love recipes using uncooked pasta! This is a keeper...)
