1 - red onion, sliced thin with a mandaline
1 t salt
1 T sugar
1 c water
1/4 c apple cider vinegar
Freshly ground pepper
Combine all ingredients in a large mason jar. Keep refrigerated.
(Cook's Note: My son-in-law, Tim, is a chef by trade and is always fixing stuff I fall in love with. This is a condiment for salads, burgers, hotdogs, chicken, steaks or pork!)
