Baked Penne Pasta (and you don't have to precook the pasta!): Submitted by: Vickie | Date Added: 23 May 2016
Listed in: Main Dishes: Pasta
Ingredients

1 Jar of Spaghetti Sauce (your choice)
1/2 lb Hamburger
1/2 lb Italian Sausage
1 Box Penne Pasta (do not pre-cook pasta!)
1/2 Bag of Shredded Cheese (your choice)

Cooking Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

1. Brown the Hamburger and the Sausage together in a pan. You can add extra seasonings as you see fit, I always do!
2. Add the Spaghetti sauce, stir together. If it is too think add some water.
3. Dump all of the pasta uncooked in a 9x13 pan.
4. Add the meat to the top. Spread so it covers all of your pasta.
5. Add a cup or two of water, so the noodles will cook in the oven.
6. Bake for 45 mins.
7. Add the cheese. Bake for another 15 mins or until the cheese is bubbly.

(Cook's note: I add typical Italian seasoning, garlic, etc. when browning meat. I also like to add chopped onion and mushrooms as I'm browning the meat. I love any type of recipe where you don't have to pre-cook the pasta.... It makes for a great timesaver. Can also be made up in advance or overnight and baked later.)
