6 large fresh strawberries, room temperature; cleaned, hulled, stems removed and patted dry
1 c butter, softened
3/4-1 c. 10x sugar
Pulse strawberries in a food processor until chopped. Add butter & 1/2 c 10x sugar; process until blended.
Add enough sugar to reach a spreading consistency and desired level of sweetness.
Keep refrigerated.
(Cook's note: You can make other fruit spreads with blueberries, raspberries, and even seedless jams such as apricot jam! Reduce the amount of sugar when making butters from prepared jams.)
