2 dozen hard boiled eggs, peeled
1 onion, peeled& sliced
2-16 oz cans pickled beets with juice
1 c white vinegar
1 c sugar
8 whole cloves
2 t salt
Combine all ingredients ang bring to a boil. When sugar dissolves, remove from heat and cool completely. (This is vital!)
Place eggs in large mason jars. & pour cooled beet mixture over eggs.
Refrigerate at least 2-3 days, shaking the jar a couple of times a day.
