For the cake:
1/2 c peanut butter
1 c water
1 stick of butter & 1 stick of margarine
2 c flour
2 c sugar
1 t salt
1 t baking soda
2 eggs
1/2 c buttermilk
For the icing:
1 stick butter
1/2 c peanut butter
6 T buttermilk
1 t vanilla
4 c 10x sugar
Bring the peanut butter, water, butter & margarine to a boil. Remove from heat and add the remains cake ingredients. Mix well by hand & pour into greases & floured shallow sheet pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 - 30 min. As soon as cake comes out of the oven, frost immediately while hot!
For frosting: boil the 1st 3 icing ingredients. Remove from heat and add vanilla and 10x sugar. Icing sets up fast so work quickly to ice hot cake.
